This small family farm in Greene County, New York explores the interaction and mutual benefit of art and agricultural practices on 160 acres of forest, pasture, and farmland. Old Field Farm is currently establishing new wholesale and retail outlets that suit the limited quantity and diversity of their products and have the potential to support other farmers in their upstate community.
Nutshell Projects identified new wholesale buyers for Old Field Farm’s heritage-breed pigs, applied for Animal Welfare Approved certification, organized a series of agriculture-related gallery talks at Gavin Brown Enterprise in the West Village, and helped launch the Bootleg Buying Club, a downstate farm store featuring food products, books, ceramics, and more.
